Joost Louwagie, Ph.D., VP, Product Development

Dr. Louwagie joined the OncoMethylome Sciences Management Team in February 2005 as Vice President Product Development. He earned his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Leuven (Belgium) followed by post-doctoral studies at the Institute of Tropical Medicine (Belgium) and the Walter Reed Army Hospital (U.S.). Before joining OncoMethylome Sciences, Dr. Louwagie worked at Innogenetics for 12 years where, amongst others, he was R&D Group Manager and Diagnostics Program Manager. In addition, as Product Development Manager, he was responsible for in vitro diagnostic product development for both the European and the US markets.

Dr. Louwagie assists the OncoMethylome Sciences team in scientific aspects of our commercial and collaborative negotiations and relationships. He works closely with our scientific collaborators and OncoMethylome Sciences R&D Management to achieve successful commercialization of our technology and products.
